My first task as the Resident Something or Other at the Museum of the Mystery1 (a space within the Library of Wonders and Curiosities) is and was to enter the space. However, keys needed to be found first.
The first, I was told, would be found in my studio.
The second, within the mystery2.
The key was a glimmer amongst the confetti of paper scraps that have made their home on the floor of my studio.
I almost missed it.
I did miss it at first.
I had been sitting on a pillow, lower shelves begging to be tidied, when I noticed the key.
I thought it was darling and simply placed it on the desk.
No thought at all, other than how fun to find a treasure amidst the mess.
It wasn’t until I was laying in bed last night, watching winter lightning flash through the skylights, that I remembered.
The key was the point.
Why I had been cleaning.
What I had been looking for.
And I just forgot.
I got tangled in the mundane and forgot the magic that asked me to find it.
I am considering this a warning.
And perhaps an invitation.
The way is clear.
I must follow the path, even when it disappears.
Despite the hour, I needed to make sure the key was still where I had left it.
With a breath, I ran to the studio and there it sat.
On the desk. Darling as ever.
I held it in my hand and wondered what to do with it.
There is no lock that I have seen.
Perhaps the 2nd key will lead me to wherever it is I need to go.
The 2nd key, as I was instructed, is to be found in the impossible.
Tomorrow, Saturday February 8th at 12 pm, I will venture into the land of impossibility. And I invite you to join me.
For 90 minutes, on Zoom, I will be brainstorming over the edge of what I think and into what has felt impossible. I can only hope this exploration will lead me to where the key might live.
There will be no talking or discussion, only some music for those who delight in such things. I will share prompts that might help you to explore the impossible. You can write or think or ponder in whatever way suits you. You do not have to be on camera or engage in chat. When we are done, we will be done. That is it. That is all.
If it is in your pleasure, please join me at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86467201098
I hope to see you tomorrow.
With love and fire~
Jo Anna

The Key is Within the Impossible
The door to the Library of Wonders and Curiosities is always unlocked. That was done with and on purpose. The Library was created with the intention that one might find what they do not yet know they need…and the urge to discover what awaits might arrive at any time. A gentle pull of the handle, day or night, will lead you right into its winding stacks …
Looking forward to tomorrow!
