I remember.
When a Siren first appeared before me.
Ages ago.
In a swirl of fire and smoke.
Dispelling the myth.
That they were only beings of water.
Her song snaked its way up my spine.
Burning away.
Acres of fear.
That had woven themselves around me.
A shroud.
To keep me safe.
To hold me tight.
She sang me clean.
And left me bare.
I was unraveled.
Siren’s have a reputation.
Of destruction.
Of ruin.
And while it may all be true.
They will also.
Show up.
When the world built around us.
Becomes too small.
For the everything ever that we are.
They will tempt us.
To dismantle the armature.
Leave the sanctuary of our doom.
Travel beyond big and bigger.
Into the ever expansive biggest.
So that we can become just that.
I have been hearing their song.
It draws close.
Closer.
Sweet tendrils beckon.
A land far grander than we could ever know.
Awaits.
It is the Summer of the Siren.
And the Sirens of Summer.
Are here.
For me.
For you.
For us all.
All we have to do.
Is let ourselves be tempted.
Do I know what comes next?
Yes.
No.
Glimpses are shown.
Fragments fall into place.
I hear the song.
I let it take me.
I will not fight.
I will not plug my ears and bind myself to the masts.
I will give myself over.
And I will share it all with you.
Next Wednesday is the Solstice.
In the northern hemisphere, summer begins.
As does the Summer of Sirens.
Let’s embark together.
With all of my magic~
