Casting Wishes

On Wish Night, 3 wishes are cast

I have been deep in the wonder of Wish Night.
Preparing for its market.
Working to help sheperd the holiday in with all of the magic it deserves.

I have come to love the idea that Wish Night appears when it is needed most.
I struggle, sometimes, with if this is where my energy should be amidst the pain, chaos, and fascism that is swirling.
But, perhaps.
What is needed, even if just a bit, is a remembering that something lives beyond this moment.
That there is a world worth wishing for.
Possibilities worth seeing.
Dreams worth creating.
Because we are worth creating it for.

Though the Wish Night Market will be happening in Asheville, NC (more details below) I want to make sure all can participate.
This is just one piece.

On Wish Night we whisper our wishes to the stars.
On Wish Night, the stars whisper back.

Traditionally, 3 wishes are cast.
1 for ourselves.
1 for another.
1 for the world.

I would like to invite you to cast your wishes and be a part of the market.

The gumball machine you see in the photo at the top of the page holds wishes that were already cast. Since each wish is held in the spark of a star, it contains a little extra magic that serves to help new wishes come true. These tiny stars will be shared at the Wish Night Market, as is custom.

If you would like to cast your wishes, I will share them with the stars. When they return they will be neatly folded and placed within the gumball machine.

Each wish will be held secret and sacred. No one other than you will know what you have wished for.

If you are in the Asheville area, I would be thrilled and honored to have you attend the Wish Night Market. It will be taking place on March 20th and 21st at LEAF Global Arts (19 Eagle St). We will be open from 5 to 6 (so stop in anytime within that hour). It is free to attend.

I am looking forward to sharing more of Wish Night as we get closer to the Market.
