A vibrant and grand clearing

I did the full moon clearing last night.
And it was a powerful one indeed.
There was a directness to it that felt new.
Vital.
I watched as each person shed layers, cloaks and shrouds.
Watched as they stepped forth, with less.
With more.

For some, the shedding was big.
Grand.
It happened with such ease and aliveness.
For others, it was a slower, more subtle experience.
For some, all of what was to be cleared dropped away in one fell swoop.
For others, only pieces would fall away.

Let me say this:
Big and grand and expansive can be wonderful.
And they are not always what is needed.
Sometimes, gentle is the way.
Sometimes, only small shifts are required for the path to open as we need it.
Sometimes a lot is simply too much.
It is ok to not be ready for it all to change.

Also:
It is ok for you to not have what you want or what you need.
It does not necessarily mean that something is in the way.
Or that what is in the way is yours alone to clear.
It does not mean that you are not enough.
I say this because too often we are told that if we do not have what we want it is because we are not thinking the right thoughts, doing the right things, or being the right person.
I think that line of thinking is dangerous and the harm it causes is something I work to unravel with people every day.
The truth is, sometimes we don’t get what we want.
Sometimes, it takes a while for it to show up.
Sometimes, there are blocks to be cleared…and sometimes we can clear them and the thing we want still does not show.
We did not come to this human experience to have everything go exactly the way we plan. It is all so much more wondrous than that. So much more mysterious.
Let it be as it is.
Be gentle with yourself.
Be kind.
Soften.
And let the magic unfold as it does.
