A proper reformation
begins at the end
A proper reformation begins at the end and nowhere else.
No matter what they tell you. No matter what you have been told. It can not be prophesied where one finds the end of the string that must be pulled.
You can only trace the slack, following it round the edge of the void until it makes itself known, at a time of its knowing. It is there and right there alone that you will be able to grab hold of what once seemed only a dream.
Because a proper reformation requires an undoing.
Many choose to proceed with caution. With care. Pulling slowly. Gently. As if reverence and fear will curry the favor of gods most fickle.
Some will approach with abandon. Grabbing for what they hope is the answer before realizing it is simply another question that will be asked, regardless of how quickly they fall into pieces.
Because a proper reformation is not to be controlled by will or wiles.
You will spin out beyond the edges, losing all sense of yourself as centrifugal force breaks and holds in equal measure. You will forget that once upon a time you were made up of worlds. Or words. Of stories woven into a form you grew to recognize as home.
Because a proper reformation will turn you to dust.
And you will find yourself floating in the air. Light and as close to the ethers as could ever be. Carried by the breath of a wish made before time forced its hand upon the world. Where nothing can be tangled because nothing is all there is except for the gravity of the desire that led you down the path to begin with.
Because a proper reformation will wrench you back down to earth.
Not caring for your comfort or your plans. Not needing your permission either. You will be pulled down into a darkness so unfathomable that it soothes an ache you forgot was not essential to the very beating of your heart. And everything you have ever been will fold in upon itself before finding form in a seed that holds the weight of the world in its possibilities.
Because a proper reformation will show you everything that matters.
While you wait. While you choose. Until there is nothing left for you to do but break open and rise into being. Again. Again. Again.
Because a proper reformation will give you exactly what you need. Yourself.
With love and fire~

These lines hit home especially close :
"Because a proper reformation will show you everything that matters.
While you wait. While you choose. Until there is nothing left for you to do but break open and rise into being. Again. Again. Again.
Because a proper reformation will give you exactly what you need. Yourself."
This is so brave, Jo Anna. I love it.
"Because a proper reformation will wrench you back down to earth.
Not caring for your comfort or your plans. Not needing your permission either. You will be pulled down into a darkness so unfathomable that it soothes an ache you forgot was not essential to the very beating of your heart."
This is the reformation of how we play together.
